Our Mission

The mission of Community Warehouse Project of Chester County is to provide household goods and furnishings to Chester County families and individuals in need – at no charge.

Understanding

Who We Serve

We help an average of ten (10) families each week.
Home means safety, belonging. Home means Love and comfort.
Furniture provides a feeling of stability, especially when people need it most.
Furniture can have a psychological impact that despite previous struggles, life can be normal again.

Furniture Banks Are The Most Socially and Environmentally Responsible Option for Unwanted Furniture!

Furniture banks prevent tens of thousands of pounds of furniture from entering landfills each year. This furniture gets put back into its community where it can have a second chance at life.

Generous furniture donors can rest easy knowing that their furniture is being used by a family in need who cannot afford furniture instead of rotting in a landfill where it is no use to anyone.

More About Us

The Community Warehouse Project is a Chester County, PA based, non profit 501©(3). CWP is a multi-service organization that collects and redistributes donated furniture and other household items to individuals and families in need within the region. It is generally a one-time, free service to pre-screened recipients, supported through the generosity of those within our community.

I got involved with CWP as simply a place to get rid of used furniture, but as I continued to get involved with the organization through volunteering, I learned just how impactful they are in lives of the individuals and families they serve.

Mark Sammarone, Board President

I’m very proud to be a part of Community Warehouse Project of Chester County. They have such an impact on helping people who have been homeless and in need of furniture and essential home goods to get back to a better kind of normal. What a great way of giving and making a huge difference in our community.
